Anyone Up for a Cup of Cake?

History about the lil cake in a cup:

The cupcake evolved in the United States in the 19th century, and it was revolutionary because of the amount of time it saved in the kitchen. There was a shift from weighing out ingredients when baking to measuring out ingredients. According to the Food Timeline Web, food historians have yet to pinpoint exactly where the name of the cupcake originated. There are two theories: one, the cakes were originall cooked in cups and two, the ingredients used to make the cupcakes were measured out by the cup...

I've seen so many of these cup cakes and having children did the popular ice cream cupcakes baked in the ice cream cone. Very popular then and still very popular now, with many different variations today.

So, when it came time to make a special gift for my girlfriend, I was going to take this opportunity to do some of my own creation and shine.  I am a baker, with the love and passion to creating many different things and opening my world more to the marshmallow fondant, gum paste, and what I have learned with many different decorating techniques, I will take the opportunity to put a smile on the faces that most deserve it.

My love is to see the smiles, I really get a kick out of baking something up and getting the "OMG" and the "WOW" factor, because as much as I get a kick out of it, it is mostly the joy I get to see the faces enjoying my creativity.

My creation below, is an orange supreme cupcake with orange flavoring butter cream topping and surrounded around marshmallow fondant. All of which to make this exciting cappuccino cupcake. And I don't think I have to tell you what a hit it was, nor how wonderful the smiles where on everyone''s face.
